ETA Compute’s Solar-Powered Module

ETA Compute’s solar-powered module runs the firm’s 32-bit ARM Cortex microcontroller that uses deep subthreshold technology, which consumes a fraction of the power of conventional microcontrollers (see “Handling an Ultra-Low-Power Cortex-M4”). This particular processor is so efficient it can run directly off the tiny solar panel without needing a special power-scavenging management system.
